I do not believe Texas students should be required to take STAAR in 2020-21. In order to allow districts to respond to the impact of school closures on our children's education & move forward, I hope that Texas will ask the U.S. Dept of Ed to waive this requirement. #txlege #txed

I called Mrs. Slawson to congratulate her on her victory last night. I want to thank everyone, especially my wife Janice, for their hard work and support. Serving my neighbors in the Texas House has been one of the highest honors of my life. https://t.co/K5KsLpkg3r

You can't have strong communities without strong schools! I'm honored to be endorsed by @TXParentPAC for my commitment to our rural public schools, teachers, students, and parents. Don't forget early voting ends this Friday and Election Day is Tuesday, July 14th! https://t.co/znfOJK0k7G

Congratulations, @TarletonSports! This is a huge step forward and opens up many opportunities for our young athletes in Stephenville. This designation has been hard-won and well-deserved! https://t.co/0tEuKdmT4i

My opponent and her DFW-based benefactors have tried to say that I'm not *really* endorsed by Governor Abbott. I could refute this with a number of facts, but I would rather allow our Governor to clear things up himself. Watch below. https://t.co/xSI1OPdxnn

This is truly awful. Urban-based attack group Empower Texans, who have for years tried to buy our rural House Seat by deceiving conservatives - https://t.co/nyolIC9fAu

I'm honored to accept the endorsement of Governor @GregAbbott_TX. I look forward to continue working with him to lower property taxes, strengthen our rural schools, and defend conservative values in Texas. Early voting is June 29 - July 10th. The Runoff Election is July 14th. https://t.co/QxKOiofIVI

Everyone knows private school vouchers are bad for rural public schools. Vouchers remove dollars from our kids' classrooms to give to private schools - which heavily favor big cities and their suburbs. https://t.co/0SisXr0ApX
