I<U+2019>m disappointed to see the charter school cap increased in the Governor<U+2019>s budget. While I am supremely grateful to see the promised increase in foundation aid, it feels like we are giving to our public schools with one hand and taking with the other.

Thank you to the Monroe County School Board Association for hosting today<U+2019>s legislative breakfast. I had far too much fun today hosting students from @HartwickCollege, my alma mater, who came to the Capitol today to meet with alumni and learn more about state government. We had the great privilege of meeting with @CarlHeastie who spent time answering student questions. https://t.co/V2izb8nRIV

Our 853 schools provide critical services to students with disabilities. I stand with my colleagues in both legislative chambers in asking @NYGovCuomo to accept SEDs recommendation to give our 853 schools a 7% tuition rate increase so they have the resources they need to succeed. https://t.co/8hWgR7FMNF
