In light of recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions and now news of the New York Chief Judge stepping down, it is more important than ever that Governor Hochul nominates and the Senate confirms a progressive chief judge.
1. Since Lee Zeldin mentioned me last night during the debate, I feel the need to respond. He's right, there is a less than 0% chance that I would send him a bill to curb abortion rights in NY...

Crime breeds off poverty & lack of opportunity. We cannot police, imprison and penalize our way to safer communities. It<U+2019>s why we work to combat the root causes of crime in our communities not just symptoms.
The New York Post falsely claimed that the man<U+2019>s release on the instant case and another recent charge were due to bail reform. In truth, just as prior to reform, this person's release was left to the discretion of the judge. https://t.co/gWfrYmgOiT
I'm scratching my head regarding the mayor's recollection of conversations we've had. To date, we've received no data from the mayor or his team. My most recent<U+00A0>exchange<U+00A0>with him was about my dismay that he claims<U+00A0>to have data that vastly differs<U+00A0>from what DCJS and OCA report. 1/ https://t.co/rnG7UUoTE0
