While I recognize there<U+2019>s a compelling case in support of legalized sports betting and didn<U+2019>t want to kill the bill, I can<U+2019>t help but feel uncomfortable at how gambling was a <U+201C>must do<U+201D> this session but so many other urgent issues were either lesser priorities or ignored entirely.

RT @ByMikeBaker: NEW: Restaurants that want to open their doors for dine-in service in Washington State will have to keep a log of all cust&
For my part, Im calling on @MassGovernor to shutdown indoor dining and other nonessential indoor activities to help slow the spread of #COVID19 and Im also calling for a state-level relief package to ensure working class folks and small businesses can survive these shutdowns. https://t.co/2hPPh8t2pJ
For these reasons <U+2014> along with several substantive concerns with the underlying legislation (from the potential for exploitation of college athletes to the local impacts of driving more traffic to the Encore Casino) <U+2014> I respectfully voted No on <U+201C>An Act Regulating Sports Wagering<U+201D>
Today Im signing on as a co-sponsor of this legislation filed by Senator @JamieEldridgeMA that would make insurance companies pay restaurants who have policies that cover business interruptions. What good is insurance if you cant use it when you need it? https://t.co/6BFD9MjXcM
A new @MassINC poll shows that 70% of Massachusetts residents support allowing bars and restaurants to offer discounted after-work drinks. This session, I’ve filed new legislation that will bring stakeholders together to revisit the state’s ban on Happy Hour, in place since 1984. https://t.co/s2ZE44GVIp
I cant say I blame this guy... I appreciate that owners of bars, restaurants, and other small businesses are desperate for survival, and millions are out of work and hurting. The blame goes to politicians who are unwilling to do what is necessary to provide financial assistance. https://t.co/jKN8eYN5NM
For my part, Im joining with other Reps to call for a shutdown of indoor dining, casinos, and other nonessential indoor activities, while also calling for a state-level relief package to help struggling residents and small businesses. Check out our letter to the Governor... https://t.co/BhM6s0YaZ3
Massachusetts ought to establish a public bank! That's why I've filed legislation with @NikaElugardo, @JamieEldridgeMA, and @MassPublicBank to make this vision a reality. But the Bankers Assoc. opposes our idea. Read the arguments and vote in the poll: https://t.co/gBu5xt0FgC
"Launching a state-owned bank was once considered a fringe idea <U+2014> even here, in left-leaning Massachusetts. Not anymore." I'm proud to be working with @JamieEldridgeMA + @NikaElugardo on our bill H.1223/S.665 to create a public bank. The momentum is real! https://t.co/pmFoEQkIyH
