Excited to share that I will run for the state senate in 2022. The newly drawn District 16 is the opportunity to represent even more citizens in Cary, Apex and Morrisville. Thanks to everyone I've talked with for their encouragement and support! #ncpol #ncga @galeadcock

Dr. Mandy Cohen leaves a legacy of evidence-based decision making, calmness under fire, and untiring commitment to the health & safety of all North Carolinians. Our state has benefited immensely from her leadership at NCDHHS.

H951 was rushed to the floor tonight and we’re being called back at 12:01 a.m. for the final vote. Good policy is not made in secret or in the middle of the night.

Tonight I filed a discharge petition for H277, the SAVE Act. Once 61 members sign it, the Clerk must calendar the motion (to remove it from Rules) on the next legislative day. Contact your House member NOW and urge them to sign on. It<U+2019>s time to pass the SAVE Act!

The GOP House budget fails to expand Medicaid to 500,000+ uninsured working adults, but increases Medicaid copays by 33% and simultaneously decreases payments to dedicated providers. Higher copays have a chilling effect on seeking care. This budget is wrong for NC.
