If there was ever a time to protect teachers from retaliation for speaking out, it would be today. One summed it up well, "Man, I love what I do. Been doing it for 20 years. But today made me feel like an expendable worker."

1/2 Fulfilling a promise to revisit teacher pay (after $3k pay increase + step increase was eliminated in March due to covid concerns), the House just passed a retroactive step increase for teachers to be paid in one lump sum on June 15 by a vote of 118-0.
