Texans deserve the truth and the entities that failed them deserve severe consequences. To start: ERCOT leadership must resign, and it must either be abolished or completely restructured with safeguards and capable leadership. 1/4

@scottbraddock @tweet_elva Scott, I'm here. Nothing will keep me from voting for #HB1927 and Texan's constitutional rights
@MQSullivan glad you mentioned this because I laid out SB 2202 in Senate State Affairs yesterday, preventing Biden Admin mandates for CRT curriculum in Texas. #txlege https://t.co/INEkVUQvfZ
Residency requirements should be placed on ERCOT leadership to require the current chair and vice-chair (living in Michigan and Germany) to live here in Texas. Transparency and accountability have been lacking for years, which contributed to this crisis. 2/4
The Public Utility Commission which has oversight of the state's electricity and water must be held responsible for their negligence. The grid, plants, generators, and lines should have been inspected and prepared for the weather. 3/4
Significant updates in weatherizing and coordination will be required. Texans have no water and little food supply. These hardships could take some weeks or maybe months to fully recover from the many failures. I will pursue legal action to protect Texans. 4/4
#sb2 & #sb3 have been sent to @GovAbbott reforming PUC & ERCOT and creating safeguards so Texans will can be confident that our electric grid is resilient and strong. great work @KHancock4TX @DrSchwertner @chrispaddie
There will be accountability and solutions to prevent what occurred last week from happening again. Listen below to hear some of my exchange with Bill Magness, CEO of ERCOT. #txlege #texas https://t.co/4DTOl1ZWxD
Austin, Texas--The Texas Miracle is not an accident, it is a product of state legislative policies that promote a pro-business climate, and prevent burdensome regulations. #txlege https://t.co/68bhU8maMc
