Almost 8 years ago, many of you put your faith in me to represent your interest in the New York State Assembly. In that time, we have accomplished much; raised the minimum wage to $15 an hour, reformed the Criminal Justice System, legalized adult use of marijuana

RT @CandisLynnT: So the airlines want a bailout but they're laying off workers??? Gimme a break! #respectworkers #povertydoesntfly
To my staff, Eva, Nick, Heidi and Steven you served under one of the most difficult circumstances that this country has ever seen. I will be forever impressed with your focus and dedication to serving our neighbors. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
I stand in solidarity today with @nychange & @FEWCoalition’s hunger strike. These workers have risked everything during the pandemic, & deserve the full $3.5 billion in funding! #FundExcludedWorkers #TaxTheRich #InvestInOurNY
We as a state are recognizing the dignity of our workers who do so much for our state and are currently suffering under these dangerous circumstances. Thank you @AliciaHyndman for your leadership on this bill. My vote on A8142E, the healthy terminals act. https://t.co/78gvNQHNiv
In most instances, credit history is NOT an indication of someones future job performance, & in most cases, it only serves as another hurdle for those struggling to find gainful employment, particularly in communities of color. My vote for bill A02611E https://t.co/TdlyJlSkRO
I condemn this excessive use of force in an attempt to break #Local202's Hunts Point strike! @Teamsters / Local 202 ARE essential workers and should be treated better than this. They DESERVE fair pay & respect. #1U #HuntsPoint
The working poor have to work in life- threatening, hazardous conditions but we can't #TaxTheRich because they won't be able to afford that 3rd home. Good on these workers for not taking this BS! https://t.co/xi9FjU2ZCJ
RT @NailTechsUnited: Thank you @CnDelarosa and @jessicaramos for your leadership in introducing legislation to create a #WorkerBailoutFund.&
Today ends a difficult chapter in our state's history. Gov. Cuomo's resignation does not end the need to make the work place safer for everyone, but it shines as a big example that this behavior will not be tolerated in any industry, or by any person.
