The issue in front of the Legislature: Is the Permanent Fund permanent? Do we pass it on to future generations of Alaskans, or do we just spend it? I want to see it for future generations. I don’t want to see it liquidated or overdrawn – that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. #akleg

This generation has been very, very fortunate. We’ve rode through the oil boom for the last 40 years, reaped enormous amounts of wealth and benefits. Let’s leave some of it for our kids. #akleg https://t.co/DtPvvv0mGw

Albert Kookesh was not only an advocate for the region, he was a statewide leader and an excellent family man. He will be greatly missed, within his family and beyond that, throughout the state and Southeast Alaska.
It’s only thanks to the wisdom and generosity of past generations that today we have an $80 billion+ Permanent Fund. I am proud of my colleagues for exercising that same foresight for the benefit of our kids, grandkids, and Alaskans not yet born. https://t.co/MrtHozURcy
We are going to discuss adding sleeping quarters for crews to the Tazlina & Hubbard to see if we can use them for extended voyages. Also, I think we will be looking again at the road extension out of Juneau to run up Lynn Canal. #akleg Read more: https://t.co/Re3d4pNbaf
