Threats to Democrats or Republicans are unacceptable and un-American. Theyre even more unbecoming of an elected official. Rep. CA Johnson has been stripped of her committees and were looking into further disciplinary action as the proper authorities conduct their investigation. https://t.co/Y5lTqqmEVI

I was glad to have met with President Trump this evening. Here is my statement on the meeting: https://t.co/LGKfDptfrE
The law in Michigan is clear. Only the legislature can extend a state of emergency. We offered our hand to the governor yesterday, but she rejected it. This is an unprecedented pandemic, which requires unprecedented partnership. Michigan deserves better.https://t.co/UskKwlvDWO
No matter the party, when you have an opportunity to meet with the President of the United States, of course you take it. I wont apologize for that. In fact, Im honored to speak with POTUS and proud to meet with him. And I look forward to our conversation. <<
Thank you @realdonaldtrump for your leadership. Our economy needed it. Unemployment has fallen to 13%. These numbers are huge! But unfortunately, Michigan has mismanaged COVID, and our unemployment is a staggering 22% because of it. This was avoidable and our people are hurting.

The governors extended Stay-at-Home order is the wrong call and is bad for Michigan families. We had a chance today to protect public health and take a positive step towards recovery. Unfortunately, rather than focus on whats safe, the governor decided again who is essential.
The question before the court is not the policy of the governors EOs or how shes handled #COVID. The question is if any governor can take complete, unilateral control of the state indefinitely & render the legislature meaningless with no check on power. https://t.co/nA2o627tPr
