Rep. Jeff Shipley owes my constituent Dr. Eli Perencevich an apology for his outrageous accusation. Dr. Perencevich has strongly advocated for safety protocols that would return kids to school safely. Suggesting otherwise is a blatant lie. @JeffShipley77 https://t.co/JjXlr9mSy0

Further thoughts on @AdamBSullivan's editorial: @IAGovernor's vision of freedom is freedom only for her extreme right base to do whatever they like, and discrimination and oppression for everyone else.

.@IowaGOP in the House put a bill on the debate calendar that they admit is unconstitutional, all to make a point against the federal gov't. Result: Iowa could lose millions in federal funding. House Republicans need to start thinking about what's best for our state for a change. https://t.co/5xBf1gOqlb

RT @iowahousedems: If #IAGOP can enforce a dress code on the Iowa House Floor, they can enforce a mask mandate. #ialegis https://t.co/cQBi8…

Why the hurry? Why couldn't she wait until we're further along with vaccinations? Our economy will do *better* with a healthier Iowa! https://t.co/tlC2RFHzve

Happy to say that HF 204 has been withdrawn--It would have prohibited Iowa colleges and universities from requiring masks and social distancing off campus. As our Johnson County delegation pointed out, encouraging masks off campus is crucial to on-campus learning!

"This elections bill says the voter can't decide for herself who can pick up a completed ballot and return it. This is government overreach on individual rights. I can't believe I have to tell a roomful of Republicans that." https://t.co/su7BaZTu0p

Once again, @tdorman nails it. Gov. Reynolds and the Republican legislature only represent the "Ideal Iowan" (ie their far-right base). Everyone else can leave the state--and take common sense, Iowa Nice, and the economy with them. https://t.co/keW0KqKntA

Update! Iowa House Republicans have pulled HF815, the Executive Order bill, from debate. I hope this means they get how damaging this bill would be to our Constitution and the state economy. When they advance these bad bills, they undermine public confidence in our state gov't.
