Colorado Senate Democrats just approved, on second reading, a 7.7% increase in the money we spend on Senator salaries. This bill would also increase the amount of senator retirement funds by 6.2%. This does NOT serve the people of Colorado!

Apparently, Colorado Legislators are too important to show up to work. Our legislative staff, grocery workers, truck drivers, and medical professionals must go to work. But if my fellow Legislators are worried about risk, we can now participate remotely. https://t.co/LNW5bUpsln

Message to the Governor calling for an END to the Disaster Emergency Declaration Dear Governor Polis, The Legislature allowed you significant leeway to respond to COVID-19. In March, you declared a Disaster Emergency that was supposed to last 30 days. 1/6 https://t.co/ORjNHhuN4m

Several senators did exactly that today for the first time in the history of our state. Hypocrisy! This is backward! Let the public speak! Make your Legislator vote in public, not hidden away in a bunker under the cover of darkness. #COPolitics #BackToWorkColorado

My Small Business Fairness Act failed along party lines at today's special session. It allowed small businesses meeting health protocols the same rights to remain open as big national chains. So Gov. Polis may continue to shut down small businesses while big chains are left open.

We heard SB20-074, that would give 50% of CO. teachers a $2k bonus for being highly effective. CEA teacher's union "opposes any bonuses to teachers". Many teachers would appreciate a little more money. Its sad Dems and the CEA blocked Repub. efforts to pay great teachers more $

It is ironic that the same Democrat Leadership which demands that I drive through Snowmageddon to cast my vote has now determined that a 'perceived risk' is an adequate excuse to stay home.
