King Soopers is offering wage increases of up to $4.50 an hour and were not only offered an extension, but will have strikes next week. Safeway/Albertsons hasn<U+2019>t proposed any wage increases but Kim Cordova gave them an extension... Why?

The union has announced they are beginning to strike King Soopers Wednesday. Just yesterday, @UFCW_7 agreed to an extension with @Safeway & @AlbertsonsCos but refused for King Soopers. Is Kim Cordova playing favorites or making secret dealings we don<U+2019>t know about? @jonahfurman

Kim Cordova<U+2019>s latest demand to King Soopers is $6 an hour in pay bumps during the first year of the contract. Will @UFCW_7 be demanding that same $6 an hour increase for its Safeway/Albertsons union members? If not, why? @findijsSEP @JamieALeary @Mike_Rummel @oscarcontrarius

Any company proposing increasing its STARTING wage nearly $4 more than our state<U+2019>s minimum hourly wage should be applauded. King Soopers is no different. Why is Kim Cordova forcing a King Soopers strike? This might further delay massive pay increases for her members.
