California's unemployment rate is 26% higher than the national rate. Guess Newsom is right sometimes when he says California is leading the nation. #FixCalifornia

Once again, CA is behind the rest of the nation. January: -CA’s unemployment rate: 9% -National unemployment rate: 6.5% Initial UI claims filed first week of March: -CA’s claims: +19% -National claims: -6.2% Leadership starts at the top. It’s time we do better. #RecallNewsom

I appreciate f@PearsonSharpi interviewing me about #AB5 and how my Republican colleagues and I are going to dismantle the worst piece of employment legislation in California history. https://t.co/aU8DJe1yD6

I'll be on @foxandfriends tomorrow morning at 6:30am EST (3:30am PST) to talk about the <U+201C>Safety Net for All Workers Act,<U+201D> an absurd bill that aims to expand unemployment insurance benefits to illegal immigrants. Hope you can tune in! #FixCalifornia

Prior to the COVID shutdowns, 1.4 million Californians worked in restaurants. Since March, between 900,000 and 1 million of these workers have either been laid off or furloughed. Its time for change. Protect the vulnerable and allow the rest of us to get on with our lives.

Recent data reveals that workers in Oakland, LA & Long Beach need to earn close to $250K to <U+201C>feel like<U+201D> they<U+2019>re taking home a $100K salary. Workers in SF need to earn $300K. It's no wonder so many are fleeing. We need to cut taxes & reduce housing costs ASAP. #FixCalifornia

Its time EDD pursues a more effectively strategy to get unemployment funds out in a timely and secure manner. That is why I am co-authoring AB 74 with @LorenaSGonzalez to require that EDD provides a direct deposit option.
