My colleagues and I sent this bi-partisan letter to Gov. @GavinNewsom asking him to reclassify restaurants as essential businesses. These businesses are a vital pillar of our communities and its time they are recognized that way. https://t.co/5iYIzdB3AG

Did you know that 30% of restaurants say they will either close their restaurant permanently or they will downsize by closing some locations? It should be an individual choice to dine-out, not a government prohibition.

Gov. Newsom enforces nonsensical orders by revoking non-compliant restaurants licenses. To stop him, I co-authored AB 54 with @KevinKileyCA, which will require state agencies to prove that a lack of compliance with COVID orders resulted in transmission of COVID.

San Diego restaurants & gyms are suing the state and county over its nonsensical shutdown of their businesses. My friend & East County resident is the owner of one of these businesses. Best of luck to her and all the business owners in their court battle! https://t.co/cmwJURG1eA

Businesses with restaurant service are essential to our communities. Thank you Judge Wohlfeil for acknowledging these shutdown orders are not grounded in evidence and allowing restaurants to reopen. I plan to eat out with my family ASAP! https://t.co/oH79I51ctS

The CA Dept. of Alcoholic Beverage Control has granted numerous waivers during COVID that allow businesses to continue operating under restrictive guidelines. It's time we give all businesses the opportunity to operate and allow them to move outdoors. https://t.co/homDjD6nTx

In a major win for the San Diego County restaurants that sued, the County will issue $4.5 million permit fee refunds. Kudos to those involved in the lawsuit for standing up to the government and fighting for what is right. https://t.co/DNoaxeyoSY
