One outcome means a Republican former Congresswoman vs. the pick of the major environmental organizations. The other outcome is two Republicans who both favor a balance of interests and the best forestry science. The outcome will matter.
I should add that most swing district D's voted NO on 1770 too. Those that think this is a great test vote for environmental concern will have to accommodate that.
