Gov Walz expecting up to 5,000 people in ICU this June. New York State has less than 5,000 people in the ICU TODAY! NY has 19.5 million people to our 5.6 million. We have around 3000 beds available. We are ready for the surge now. Why shut MN business down for a NY sized surge?

MN Gov tried to stop the Covid virus by closing everything down but MN has more deaths per 1000 and more state debt than WI & SD. He has to adjust the plan.
8-29-20, Day 170 of emergency powers. I sent a letter to the Governor yesterday asking for the parameters he will use to end emergency powers. ICU bed capacity is high, PPE quantities are high, Deaths per day is low, infection rates hover between 4-5% even with mandated masks.
Only 6 Covid deaths in all of Minnesota, hospitalizations down. I know what I think the next step is, what do you think we should do?
They forgot to mention that most icu beds are filled with non-Covid patients. They also forgot to mention the extra icu beds available within a 24 hr notice and more beds available within a 72 hour notice. Why not share these important facts and reduce fear? https://t.co/KgsUox7TMI
Day 174 of emergency powers. People need hope not fear. Covid is real. Hope says, be aware of your surroundings, follow CDC guidelines, and live your life. Fear says, shut everything down, hover over everyone, dont go to school, and live under doom and gloom. I choose hope.
We have flattened the curve and we have prepared our hospitals and clinics with PPE and ventilators. We have to allow people to get back to their lives. If you can get a haircut, shop at a mall, or eat at a restaurant, you should be able to go to church. #mnleg https://t.co/3hqmleMxDd
This is in my district. I get coffee and waffles here. Woman business owner shut down for Covid and now shut down for masks. Unbelievable! Department of Health has too much power. https://t.co/CGZKTRRP5g
Day 177 Governor Emergency Powers. A reminder of my comments on Covid. The virus is real and serious. AND the Governor no longer needs unilateral powers to battle it. MN is best served by the Governor working with the legislative body as an equal partner.
He didnt talk to me. I would have said let local communities and businesses decide. Many counties have had zero Covid deaths. https://t.co/CLkVvR2b2q
