No Texan should have to choose between their job and their family.
My bill<U+2014>House Bill 2298<U+2014>would provide 12 weeks of paid leave for any Texas worker who needs to care for a newborn or a sick family member. While on leave, Texans would be entitled to 67% of their normal paycheck. And for small businesses, our program would help cover the cost.
