This is from friend who served multiple tours in Iraq. https://t.co/eh5CKouiRr https://t.co/QSoyhPsJo7
The <U+201C>what about Chicago<U+201D> attacks by right wingers is utterly ridiculous. They<U+2019>re making excuses for weapons manufacturers and investors by deflecting with an old fashioned talking point. https://t.co/B9nMbk6IVX
I’ve listened to multiple podcasts discussing the last 20 years and it’s so clear that the “War on Terror” and “Tough on Crime” are just two similar (but slightly different) strains of the same reactionary politics. Beyond the militarization. I mean the segregation and nativism.
Our veterans struggle with mental/physical health and trauma, homelessness, and they are routinely asked to do multiple tours in endless wars. On this Veterans Day, lets end the empty talking points and make sure we give them the investment and care they deserve.
It seems the destabilization thats led to so much pain and suffering from the failed and needless war in Iraq clearly wasnt enough for your @GOP leadership. @AdamKinzinger, call for a vote on the war your partys leader is trying to make happen. https://t.co/XT7yajrkSF
We need to regulate the personal weapons industry and their investors who continue to make ridiculous profits off of violence. They spend those profits into supporting shady, pandering candidates who double down on the status quo. It<U+2019>s annoyingly disgusting. We need change now.
Theres been one candidate who has called for an end to endless wars. Hes received more support from veterans than any other candidate running. He voted against the Iraq War. Lives were lost and people were lied to. @BernieSanders is the candidate I trust to do whats right! https://t.co/3HsDaTuCxy
Weve spent so much on defense and incarceration combined with deep cuts to public health, services, and housing. This crisis exposes years of failed, unsafe policies. In order for us to be cared for, everyone must be cared for. https://t.co/PckhXTyRpV
Corporal Robert J. Peters. My grandfather was a hero during WWII. He died well before I was born but I remember learning so much about him growing up. Thank you to all who have served. Happy Memorial Day! https://t.co/LzJMuSt3wf
