Gov Hochul being primaried by Jumaane Williams and Senate Housing Committee Chair, Brian Kavanagh, now facing a Dem primary from Assemblymember Yuy-Line Niou, during a Covid resurgence, can only mean one thing: The Jan 15th eviction moratorium deadline will be extended yet again https://t.co/SlDvsHa2UN

@nycdsa_housing @altochulo @SenatorHelming @housing4allNY @nychange @NYWFP @JuliaCarmel__ @VOCALNewYork @JabariBrisport @CVHPower @citizenactionny So then I assume the New York State Senate Majority would be willing to replace their own #GoodCauseEviction bill language with the language found in the New Jersey law, correct?
@altochulo @SenatorHelming @housing4allNY @nychange @NYWFP @JuliaCarmel__ @VOCALNewYork @JabariBrisport @nycdsa_housing @CVHPower @citizenactionny Sorry @altochulo. @SenatorHelming and I know that passing #GoodCause legislation means fewer rental units in New York as more developers will leave our state should the law be passed. Fewer units means higher rents. We are the ones trying to protect tenants.
@RTCNYC @BodegaCatNYC @NYCComptroller @NYSCourtsNews I<U+2019>m confused. Why does the NYC<U+2019>s Comptroller<U+2019>s Office have a taxpayer-funded (I assume) position called <U+201C>Housing Organizer<U+201D>? Seems like that should be a job more properly found in a not-for-profit (supported by private donations) which advocates for tenants. Just sayin<U+2019>
@TipMahoney How about we don’t build in coastal areas prone to strong hurricanes that are actually below sea level. Just a suggestion.
Urging @SteveBellone to make the evacuation of Fire Island mandatory!! Better safe than sorry. Let’s protect all Fire Island residents, first responders, and pets who live on our barrier beaches.
