Great article by @mikecherryforva about the reality of school-closure learning loss in Virginia and the work to fix it. https://t.co/zcssTOvwtF https://t.co/JnQvVbzWf4

RT @mikecherryforva: This is incorrect. @GovernorVA championed @CarrieCoyner’s literacy bill to help struggling students with their reading…

What the hell is going on in Chesterfield schools, @oneccps? This explains the mealy-mouthed response to the Dean of Students’ lunatic post yesterday. Now a School Board member too? Firings and resignations asap - let’s go!

Not good. My student overdose reporting bill will help stop this sort of behavior.

I’m planning to carry this bill this session. It passed on bipartisan lines in the Senate; Dems killed it in the House this past year. Common sense stuff: Notify ALL parents within 24 hours if a student overdoses. Parents need to know so they can protect their kids!

Here are the replies I received to my letter to UVA… Denigrating half the country on the taxpayers’ dime and damaging the reputation of a public university are not “academic freedom.”

The Virginia teachers’ union post-election email is basically a “Republicans-Need-Not-Apply” sign. If you don’t share their liberal politics, they don’t want you in “their” schools. It’s dangerous when our public schools—that Democrats and Republicans pay for—are politicized like this. Would you trust this organization to keep their politics out of your kid’s classroom?
