LB 1024, North and South Omaha Recovery Act passed 45-1.
fear of no beds...so they were told to go home and if it gets worse to come back). We need our Mayors and Governor to step up.
RT @brad_dickson: Omaha is a disaster area Saturday after last night's storm, almost 200,000 people are without power, the damage to homes…
Appropriation committee recommends $336.8 mill for improving irrigation water, lakes, golf courses, and hiking trails in 2022 budget. $270 for a new prison. Only $20 million for affordable housing for Lincoln and Omaha. And zero for economic development for North/South Omaha!
Tomorrow the North and South Omaha Recovery Act will be debated.
$12 million out of 1.3 billion is disheartening. By ignoring the needs of North Omaha, and denying us ARPA funds, the Governor is saying we are not Nebraskans, and Nebraska is not for everyone. https://t.co/mP8pRQevaH
Camping in the back yard. Wind God please just a gentle breeze. It's so hot...first time daughter is camping & before I waste money traveling she better get ready in the back yard for free. I am that cheap dad; ok not cheap. Verifying this is what she wants to do before I invest.
In 2020, I authored (along with @TFitz_Esquire) and introduced LB 866. Today, Omaha passed an Housing Affordability Action Plan as a result of the bill. Days like today remind me why we have to continue to press on even when the job feels thankless and stressful.
This session rural workforce housing passed with flying colors, yet today, urban workforce housing struggled for the same support. This is why I can't be quiet. We have to demand better starting today! #WeWillRemember https://t.co/HM5GSyCZMI
