There are over 12,000 families without power in North Linden, and I don't see a cooling center in that neighborhood. We only have one in South Linden, which is too far for some families. With today<U+2019>s excessive heat forecasted to reach 97 degrees today, we must address this.
Like many of you, I got some questions for @AEPnews. Here<U+2019>s a few: Why were customers not notified of planned power shutdowns due to grid strain? How were blacked out neighborhoods chosen? How are you actively helping customers understand how to make claims?
I<U+2019>m hearing as late as Thursday for some families to get their power turned back on. @AEPnews, please share an update below so we can share it across our networks.
