@Blake_Allen13 @TheLostOgle It was planned by the people and organization responsible for the governor<U+2019>s mansion. They are the Friends of the Mansion. They raise money, renovate and keep it up. They wanted to start renovating but Governor Fallin wanted to put it off.
@Blake_Allen13 @TheLostOgle No bid contracts are not unusual when no one else can do the work. On a older historical building there probably aren<U+2019>t many artisans freed up. Seeing a project that arduous would be cause for celebration. Not sure I<U+2019>d want to live in a building with constant visitor traffic.
