@livfinne Don't worry, they're trying to mislead their members. The House did not vote No on that amendment. In fact, both House & Senate budgets provide $7 million in *new* charter school funding, and the WEA couldn't get anyone in either chamber to offer an amendment to cut that funding.

If you<U+2019>re responsible & do the work along the way, it<U+2019>s never overwhelming & you<U+2019>ll pass. If you give into temptation to skip because there<U+2019>s plenty of time to make it up, things can snowball out of control fast.
@bigclasstraitor Fair point, and welcome (though no matter how long you’ve been here, I hope you have better things to do than listen to my boring speeches). WA’s school funding model is quite unique. Luckily it gives us an ability to solve some of the examples of inequalities Kozol illustrated.
