The Citizen's Redistricting Committee publicized their meetings on multiple media. Every single New Mexican was invited to attend their meetings in person or via zoom & ask questions or provide input. Every single New Mexican could submit maps, including hand-drawn maps. #nmleg
New Mexico is a huge state. #Redistricting must consider equitable districts population-wise & attempt to honor communities of interest--a huge challenge. Every single New Mexican--including elected officials--had the right to testify, submit map ideas online,& give feedback.
