@RBReich Correct!* (Silly statement, but correct.) It was meant to prevent a tyrannical government from violating the First Amendment. *Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Since tyrants often engage in mass slaughter, the Second Amendment was intended to prevent this too.

@RPur122 It separated the compliant from the free thinkers. Eroded public trust in institutions, governments and each other. Permanently closed businesses. Transferred trillions from public to private hands. Divided communities & families. It did EXACTLY what it was intended to do.
