Less than half the vaccines our state has received have actually been given to people. We must do better. As of today, DHEC is giving hospitals more decision-making. They are now able to vaccinate admitted patients 65-plus. Hopefully, this will help improve our vaccination rate. https://t.co/EvXhnirK6S

Thank you MUSC and @scdhec for making it possible to have free Covid-19 testing available in Hartsville. The expansion of testing is the first step in overcoming this pandemic. https://t.co/ynyW3dWDdI

We passed a $208 million package to increase vaccine availability through more sites and provide additional resources for hospitals and other agencies working on the effort. We also voted to move school teachers up in priority to receive the vaccination. https://t.co/D3LUfpKs7g

I had the pleasure to meet with Governor McMaster and Dr. Deborah Birx in Columbia to discuss the current situation in South Carolina. Dr. Birx is currently serving as the response coordinator for the Coronavirus Task Force. I hope to work together for the health of our state. https://t.co/irf1pZiZwF
