I believe that some of these new revenues should be set aside for the establishment of a Clean Water Fund to aid in the rapid response of water contamination issues. I co-authored a bipartisan bill creating a Clean Water Fund.

Yesterday the Assembly passed legislation to address PFAS contamination in Wisconsin and, specifically, Marinette and Peshtigo. It is not everything I wanted and I believe we should have done more to respond to PFAS contamination in Marinette and Peshtigo.

As city leaders pointed out, when there is no responsible party, WI needs a plan for dealing with PFAS. No being able to determine a responsible party should not stop clean up. That's why I voted for legislation that would provide $ for investigation, clean-up, and clean H2O.
