McConnell and his Senate GOP may be OK with forcing local govts to lay off teachers, 1st responders, and public health workers and close libraries and social service agencies. I'm not. We need to raise revenue. Many New Yorkers have done just fine in the pandemic. #TaxTheRich
Looking forward to working with these fantastic upstate colleagues to help our economies and communities thrive. https://t.co/d7cm8A2GcZ

The MAGA GOP House majority wants to force new work requirements for Medicaid. Will they also impose work requirements for the yacht and private plane tax breaks they passed a few years ago? Oh, wait, nm. They also want to protect wealthy tax cheats by cutting the IRS budget.
Glad to see that @NYGovCuomo took this step. Seniors shouldn't have to renew their tax exemptions in person during a pandemic. I advocated for this is Albany; now we all need to make sure our localities adopt the change.
Great point, @NYGovCuomo! If NY goes bankrupt, where will KY get its funds from? We are all in this together. Doling recovery money only to "red state" interests will backfire. Nothing makes me angrier than this GOP effort to politicize aid to the suffering. https://t.co/0FPx9VeB32
Lessons of the pandemic 1: Any "reopening" of the economy should include: -Healthcare for all -Good pay/benefits for essential workers -Better funding for senior/nursing care -Better support for caregivers -Fewer people in prisons or homeless
A great explanation of neoliberalism and why we need a postal banking system, among other things. Basically, the solution is to implement @ewarren's platform. https://t.co/V4oHH20uSL
