New TN provisions regarding food and drink establishments: Establishments are to exclusively offer drive-thru, take-out or delivery options. Establishments may sell alcohol by take-out or delivery (with the purchase of food) in closed containers to those who are age 21 and up.

In particular with respect to the situation described, the order contains requirements concerning securing drinks with lids or caps and avoiding possessing an open container while driving that restaurants should be mindful of. I hope this will help many of our TN restaurants!

@BRH1016 Businesses should not be forced to accept cash. What about an unsafe situation where the merchant does not want to accept cash? It<U+2019>s not about favoring big business. It<U+2019>s about favoring common sense.
