Today, the House passed legislation that criminalizes image-based sexual assault, and affords protections to victims of this crime. With the intent of affording minors a second chance, the legislation allows minors who engage in sexting to be diverted to an educational program.
Today, 21 years removed from the most horrific terrorist attacks in the history of our country, the House joins all Americans in remembering those who lost their lives on 9/11, and in honoring the courage of the civilians and first responders who saved countless lives that day.
We are encouraged by the renewed calls for gun law reforms at the federal level. We are proud of the work we have done in MA over the years to reduce gun violence, and urge Congressional leaders to push for federal legislation.
