Today I stood with my Senate colleagues and @NassauExecutive demanding @PSEGLI reimburse our residents for days without power. Nassau deserves better and we will fight to make sure that will happen! https://t.co/0xt8yYW22L

This is now the 5th night where thousands of my residents in District 6 are without power. @PSEGLI is moving really slow and their systems are not picking up outages. My district deserves better. Long Island deserves better.
I have thousands of families without power again tonight in my district and @PSEGLI is not working around the clock like they should be. They should credit every customer one month payment for every 12hrs they have gone without power. There I said it.
Today the legislature held a public hearing on power and communication failures brought on by #TropicalStormIsaias. In my line of questioning @PSEGLI and LIPA admitted that a required emergency drill was not performed as required by law which could have exposed vulnerabilities. https://t.co/iVAL9pCMFv
Given that we still have thousands of families without electricity for a 6th day and its scorching outside, our amazing @NassauExecutive has opened the cooling centers at Cantiague, Wantagh, and North Woodmere. From 12-6pm today. Together we will get Nassau Co. through this!
This is now the 6th night where thousands of families once again have no power here on Long Island. Residents of Long Island deserve to be reimbursed for this. Stay tuned!

Thank you to the U.A.E. for helping bring some relief to the rising gas prices in the U.S. Always a friend and partner with the U.S. in times of need. @USAinUAE @UAEinNYC https://t.co/177cKz1tkF
@PSEGLI doesn't even know what needs fixing anymore. They reported that a neighborhood in Levittown got power back at 2am but that was far from truth. I still have thousands of residents without power. Absolutely no accountability here. https://t.co/O0GsFurIcV
