@GrandTeton41 Yes, Utah does incentivize EVs and hybrids, but the question is the appropriate level of incentives. For example, a Tier 3 vehicle burning Tier 3 fuels can outperform some hybrids. We also need everyone to contribute something to road maintenance.
@GrandTeton41 Because even EV users need to pay their fair share of road costs. The increased rates still afford them a subsidy (i.e., an incentive to use an EV), but in a more fair and balanced way. EVs aren't perfect for emissions, BTW, on account of emissions associated w power generation.
