COVID is on the rise…again. The variants are presenting new challenges for different age groups & straining our healthcare system. Please consider the vaccine. Please wear a mask. Please put your faith in healthcare professionals & common sense over politicians & talking heads. https://t.co/CWez9mZLDT
It was a pleasure as always catching up with Dr. J.J. Britton at the State House today. Not only is Dr. Britton a distinguished trustee emeritus of the @ClemsonUniv board - he also has the dubious distinction of being the doctor who delivered me into the world many moons ago! https://t.co/rHzVqOsw9g
Today is Alzheimers Advocacy Day at the @SCStatehouse & this morning I met w/ two wonderful constituents, Ms. Gilchrist & Mr. Bright, who are here to advocate in honor of their family members who have been affected by this sad & tragic disease. @AlzSC #Ask4Alz #ENDALZ #GoPurple https://t.co/grdBqcULGW
Learned this afternoon that the life of a friend & a colleague was taken by this awful virus today. Smiled & winked at him in the gallery of a Senate committee meeting not too many days ago, when no one would have believed hed be gone shortly thereafter. Praying for his family.
This type of crazy needs to be called out for exactly what it is - ignorant. And crazy. Continued thanks to the dedicated medical professionals who are working day & night to save lives in the midst of what has likely been the most challenging situation of their careers. https://t.co/dxK79ksqV8
Please consider getting vaccinated if you haven’t already. Wear a mask. Use common sense. Take care of each other. And pray for all healthcare workers, many of whom are continuing to be pushed to extreme limits. https://t.co/07q3AzIvd2
Weve had a lot of bad news over the last 4 months. We need to share the positive news, too - which is that @scdhec is reporting an almost 90% recovery rate among reported #COVID19 cases. Thats still a lot of sick people, yall, & the fear of hospital surge is as real as ever. https://t.co/N5rhs6cUNC
Many have been hesitant to get the #COVID19 vaccine until approved by the @US_FDA. Today is that day. If you’ve been on the fence, please consider scheduling that first shot today. We’ve got to continue strengthening our collective pushback against this common and unseen enemy. https://t.co/NCs45dvqEW
