No state needs a paid family leave law more than Mississippi. A high percentage of our workers have low wage, hourly jobs that offer little to no benefits. They cant afford to stay home from work.
AA in Mississippi are being hit hardest because we often work as front line employees that come into direct contact with the public(retail, service jobs)...so Im sorry if people are going stir crazy sitting at home.
