Buying event tickets should be a straightforward process where the advertised price is the final price. The bait-and-surcharge business is wolfish and unfair to consumers, who are trying to make the best use of their hard-earned dollars. We need price transparency. Pass #AB8. https://t.co/MUfhXxAS0F

RT @AGRobBonta: NEW: I<U+2019>ve issued a consumer alert in response to @CAGovernor's executive order that establishes statewide price gouging pro<U+2026>
Yesterday two of my bills were signed into law! AB 1556: strengthens consumer protections for live performance ticket buyers. AB 468: requires clear disclosures for selling emotional support dogs, certificates and services, and civil penalties to combat fraud.
The pandemic placed every member of the supply chain in harms way. Right now, grocery stores are making record profits. We want to see these profits invested in the workers & the families who have put themselves on the line. I support and stand with our Teamsters. https://t.co/QI94AX80DD
@myBurbankNEWS They should be closed. Gun stores, like most other retail shops, are not considered essential. They are not selling food, hardware, or any of the other items consider essential.
Due to COVID, live shows were canceled, but sellers have no obligation to promptly send refunds. My AB 1556 will change that by ensuring ticket buyers receive their refunds quickly and this week it passed out of its first hearing with bipartisan support! @consumercal @CALPIRG
The California Film & Television Tax Credit is important for Los Angeles & the State of CA. I fully support extending it. Let<U+2019>s keep The Industry home. @IATSE @LALabor @LIUNA @Teamsters @Liuna724 https://t.co/2YBhKn4ydk
I can’t miss an opportunity to plug a small business in my district: the vintage blouse I’m wearing in this photo comes from the Atwater Village consignment shop The Curatorial Dept. #Shopsmall #shoplocal
It breaks my heart to see countless small businesses that we’ve all known and loved for years shuttered throughout our district. This pandemic has devastated our small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Thrilled to be authoring a bill in this package meant to protect consumers from unfair & predatory practices. My bill AB8 will stop ticket sellers from ripping off their customers. https://t.co/iCMRqWoxmG
