Sign on the door of Wendy’s in Scott City. This is about the ultimate supply chain failure. They are literally surrounded by commercial cattle feedlots! https://t.co/6Y9k7lVdMh

Farmer pro tip #1: buy a cheap grain trailer, not for grain transport, but for cheap and handy storage for 1000 bushels of seed wheat. Farmer pro tip #2: verify that the concrete slab you park it on is up to the task. https://t.co/QuXtlxwTcq
@speerman42 That device is intended for two functions: measuring depth of seed slice and opening beer bottles. This is obviously an off-label use of the device and therefore your measurements are invalid.

Same view today. Final tally: two homes destroyed but the occupants got out safely. It appears that no livestock perished. Fences burned, hay bales still smoldering. Three RR trestles destroyed, and now RR ties are smoldering and slowly being consumed up and down the line. https://t.co/ZcTgr36QBx
Yesterday we finished a severely abbreviated milo harvest. Today we blew off the combines and grain carts and stored them. Also cleaned out the air seeders and put them away. Then we hooked up tractors to a disk and two chisels. I hate what's coming!

@SecNorman How is he at forecasting the wheat market? And does he hire out? =
@tuckerg_ks When water runs out irrigators can produce dry land corn and sorghum. We dry land guys have gotten fairly good at it… most years. But when water runs out, value added agriculture (feedlots, dairies, ethanol plants) ceases to exist. And that’s when W KS really enters crisis.
