@jqgardner I’m confused, are you arguing that we should fund high school sports over funding buildings to teach dental hygienists and nursing students?
@goss_tucker Hi Tucker. I agree, in a perfect world, co-curricular activities should be for everyone and not just kids with money. But if ppl don’t want to pay more in taxes, these are the type of cuts that are gonna happen. Our state is in dire financial condition and it’s gonna get worse.
@DougDeason Same with teachers unions. It shouldnt take months, or years, to fire underperforming teachers.
@cballardnews Amen to that. Its those hard skills that are very helpful later in life, i.e. the importance of the credit score, building up credit, calculating interest on a mortgage, student loans, etc. I wish our k12 structure did a better job addressing that.
