My E-Bike amendment was included in the Transportation Bond Bill which just passed in the Senate! Once signed into law, this will classify all electric bikes, so they have the same rules and responsibilities as regular bikes. https://t.co/0UqnPDyJCw

E-BIKES IN MA --> We did it! Thanks to my #ebike amendment & the rebate amendment signed into law, people across the state will be able to more easily access electric bikes. Read more about this achievement below from the incredible advocates at @MassBike. https://t.co/nsWMQEnFOg
The 57 bus in my district is an example of what happens all too often in transit systems: temporary reductions in service become permanent, just like the former A Branch of the Green Line. MBTA service cuts are a short-term and long-term mistake.
Cutting MBTA service would: devastate our transit system result in hundreds of lost jobs disproportionately impact low-income, communities of color, + neighborhoods hard hit by COVID. Remind me what the benefits of these cuts are? > #mapoli https://t.co/uBapMS0aro
This would be a huge step towards making electric bikes more equitable and accessible for all riders in the state. Electric bikes: <U+2705> Combat greenhouse gas emissions and congestion <U+2705> Are especially useful for longer trips/commuting
Electric bikes: <U+2705> Are important for people who get priced out of communities and must accept longer commutes <U+2705> Allow for people with physical limitations and health challenges to ride bikes and use them for valuable transportation options
RT @MassBike: The #ebike definition and e-bike rebate provisions were officially signed into law by @MassGovernor yesterday! Thank you to<U+2026>
I also want to give a special thanks to @MassBike and all of the advocates who have been instrumental in getting this amendment passed through the Senate.
