Remember, @MarshaBlackburn opposed @POTUS’ #infrastructure bill, in part, bc it included $ for Internet access. Look to her telecom donor history for reason for this and opposition to #netneutrality. Also, someone please explain difference between “fiber” and “broadband” to her. https://t.co/5OUzFdyZZp

Would be great if we'd repeal the part of Haslam's weak sauce "TN Broadband Accessibility Act," an industry-drafted, underperforming, woefully underfunded bill, that prevents utilities like EPB from expanding Internet service beyond current service areas. https://t.co/0ZeF8sjcCq

An accurate portrayal of the science deniers / willful ignorance of some with whom I serve summed up in one tweet. To think that this guy represents Oak Ridge, an epicenter of scientific research. #COVID19 #Science https://t.co/qd7t69YFY5

We have lots of work to do bc: a)Haslam passed pro-big telecom regs, boxed in munis, preventing fiber expansion to rural TN b)TN woefully underfunds broadband grants c)@GovBillLee broke a $200M promise to rural TN this yr. 500k+ & countless small bizs lack a basic utility in 2021 https://t.co/JFLDA9CH3v

This is truly significant. More equitable access to research and information opens up tremendous possibilities for all. Long overdue. #science #research https://t.co/E93I14qlcd

Re HB2365: I support tech & economic growth as much as next person, but allowing corporate devices of unlimited size/weight to operate up to 10mph on taxpayer-funded #Nashville sidewalks concerns me for a few reasons. <= @> ><=i >@walkbikenash

Honored to speak to @LifeSciTN membership at their annual meeting tonight at @EpsteinBecker<U+2019>s beautiful new offices in downtown Nashville. As a member of the Life Sciences caucus in the state leg, I<U+2019>m proud to work with the entire LS industry across TN. #TeamJRC #TN55 https://t.co/yrkflj9ivB

@unicornslaw @GeraldHarrisTV @MarshaBlackburn @POTUS Unfortunately, Haslam statutorily boxed in municipal service providers to prevent them from expanding and gave electric co-ops exclusive rights to compete w/ big telecoms (along w/ insufficient grants + regulatory limits). My bill to remove these restrictions on munis was killed.
