@andreamatranga Mass of water entering and leaving the hose must stay the same. Atoms have to go somewhere! Water is ~incompressible, so density is constant. Fast water leaving * smaller area = slow water entering * big area. Sorta like effort * effort arm = load * load arm with levers.
