Proud to have my office join Thursday's event at #HarveyMilk Promenade Park in Long Beach to honor a political trailblazer and champion for #LGBTQ rights. Today, we celebrate #HarveyMilkDay. Thank you @CouncilwomanSuelySaro for pushing for the funding to restore the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. statue at MLK Jr. Park. Great seeing our community turn out for the unveiling ceremony. MLK fought for equality & justice. This statue reminds us hate has no place in #LongBeach https://t.co/8KGW1U5Qp4

In celebration of Women’s History Month, this morning I honored & recognized distinguished women who have gone above & beyond in service to others in the 70th State Assembly District. Congratulations & thank you to all the participants who joined our Zoom event! https://t.co/Zb7aTCkTeS
Last week's event in Minnesota was a horrible tragedy that I hope will not happen again. People have the right to protest but should do it responsibly and carefully. For those coming out to Downtown Long Beach today: Be Heard, Be Smart and Be Safe.
