Sad morning. My <U+2018>Buddy Dog,<U+2019> Zeke, peacefully passed away this morning. He<U+2019>s now cancer free and romping in heaven. He was a rescue dog who adopted me. A mere 8 pound puppy, who they said would only grow to 35-40 pounds. He ended up being 80 pounds of pure joy. <U+2764><U+FE0F><U+2764><U+FE0F><U+2764><U+FE0F> https://t.co/xLASythdFE
SUPPORTING HORSES! SC House passes the SC EQUINE ADVANCEMENT ACT. It would allow for online betting on horse races. A portion of the licensing fee would go to our equine industry which is struggling to compete with neighboring states supported by innovative pro-horse legislation. https://t.co/wMNtZLPhEO
Aiken County<U+2019>s Soil & Water Convervation District is leading a statewide initiative to help farmers be more efficient with water. That helps the enviornment and lowers the cost of the producing crops and potentially saves you $$$ at the grocery store. https://t.co/ahxokeNT4S
DAVE<U+2019>S GRILL & GROCERY on Hwy. 302 <U+2014> as the old time radio slogan proclaims: <U+201C>Where the elite meet to eat.<U+201D> Great down-home cooking! A favorite of everyone no matter who you are. Today, Gov. Henry McMaster & Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette made an impromptu lunchtime visit. https://t.co/NOMMt0Ci57
I attended a briefing in Columbia to learn the findings of this 3-year initiative at farms with retrofited center pivots that spray water. Water usage was signifcantly reduced. Farm producers at the meeting praised the project and said it<U+2019>s a necessity for all of SC.
Aiken HS Senior Abby Callis is visiting the Statehouse along with 18 students who attended the SC Farm Bureau Youth Leadership Conference. They spent 4 days at the Governor<U+2019>s School for Agriculture learning more about the Farm Bureau Federation and agriculture across our state. https://t.co/A1qEJAzH0u
Field of Dreams for Potato Lovers! Walther Farms held its community give-away at their Windsor Farm. Trucks and cars lined up as far as you could see. Many were taking their free load of potatoes to neighbors, charities and their church family. Thank you, Walther Farms! https://t.co/y3Gk24jRIw
This week we welcomed to the SC Statehouse the FFA students from Ridge Spring-Monetta High School. These AG students are the future of our farm-to-table sustainability. Smart Farmers = Good Food! https://t.co/zZMQxOMEZc
FREE FARM TRACTOR! Matt & Kara Rutter received the keys to their new Kubota tractor to help with chores at Project Victory Gardens in Aiken. The farm provides agritherapy for veterans (and much more). The donation from Kubotas Geared to Give program supports vet programs. https://t.co/AMjSX8tHyr
