@NicholasFerroni I should make express what I meant to imply, that given the vital role in education of teachers, we SHOULD pay them so they do not need second jobs.
@NicholasFerroni Teaching is so vital. Apropos the originator of this thread, it might be said we do not pay teachers to work, we pay them <U+201C>not<U+201D> to work, which is to say we pay them so they can focus on their teaching and not need to resort to second jobs.
