I look forward to working with the Trump Administration on fulfilling his promise to cap credit card interest rates at 10%. We cannot continue to allow big banks to make record profits by ripping off Americans by charging them 25 to 30% interest rates. That is usury.

Why is Congress so out of step with the American people? Why don't we tax billionaires at a higher rate, though the American people think we should? Why don't we have affordable health care, though the American people want it? The answer to those questions? Money in politics. https://t.co/KYhYInbog6

Tomorrow, I will ask the CEO of Novo Nordisk, Mr. Lars Jørgensen: Why are you charging the American people up to 10 or 15 times more for the same exact product than you're charging people in Canada and Europe? https://t.co/DKaUiQSaM3

We saw a spike in inflation due to the record-breaking profits of the food and oil industries, which have raised their prices exponentially to rip off the American consumer. Want to know why everything costs more these days? Corporate greed. https://t.co/0UgMKzYpuJ

People are hurting. They know that the people on top are doing phenomenally well. They see unprecedented levels of corporate greed. They need to know that someone is standing up and fighting for them. https://t.co/nHH3asI5H8

Large corporations continue to make record-breaking profits by charging outrageously high prices for gas, rent, food, and prescription drugs. We cannot continue to allow them to make obscene amounts of money by price gouging Americans in virtually every sector of our economy.

Trump is considering a large bailout for a multibillionaire dictator while he cuts health care for 15 million Americans. This is insane. The working families of the United States need help, not one of the richest families in the world.

Today, Elon Musk, a trillionaire, pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $184,500. If we end that absurdity and lift the cap on taxable income, we can make Social Security solvent for 75 years and expand benefits by $2,400. My Social Security bill does that.

LIVE: I'm on the floor now talking about Trump's totally absurd budget. They got it exactly backwards. No tax cuts for billionaires by cutting Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid for Americans.

According to a study by Penn Wharton, Trump's "big, beautiful bill" that pays for tax breaks for the rich by cutting Medicaid leads to a $700 LOSS in income for the working class, a $1,000 LOSS in income for the poor & a $389,000 INCREASE for the top 0.1%. We must defeat it.
