Great bill #SB876 to allow option to title/register vehicles in any county by @KHancock4TX, coauthored by @SenRoyceWest & I. Sen West says it allows people to slow down & get their title done on your way to/from work across Co lines! & should get done faster too.. LOL! #txlege

What gets measured gets fixed. Today in Senate Finance I told @TXDPS Director McGraw We are not paying for "average" and "poor" on management & cust service w/ Drivers Licenses. The public expects "good" or better! The #txlege sent the resources...so get this done! @SenJaneNelson

@GrooganFox26 sadly right while @HarrisCountyDAO turned down @TheTexasRangers assistance per @MarioDiaz! Harris Co Comm. could now open up #astrodome to planes, trains, & car collections, spend tax $ on them, & conduct private tours like @PCT1 art warehouse! Bad precedent! @TPPF

Excess Harris County Toll Road monies should be used to pay down debt, maintain county-owned roads, and cover substantial @HoustonTX public safety expenses—as documented by the Houston Fire and Police Chiefs—not non-transportation and/or unaudited projects at the whim of Commissioners Court. The Greater Houston Toll Road PAYERS expect none the less as they have wide usage! SB 2722 just passed the Texas Senate 21-8-2, to crack down on unacceptable toll fund expenditures in Harris County. Since 2019, toll revenues have been increasingly funneled into non-transportation projects. SB 2722 stops that by requiring: • 70% of excess toll revenue to be spent on county-owned roads and debt • COH emergency services reimbursements (e.g., HPD & HFD responded to 6,514 incidents on toll roads from 2022–2024) • Independent audit controls to prevent misuse, and penalties for misuse This strong Senate vote keeps the focus on roads, safety, and accountability on toll revenues—not politics, and not non-transportation projects! Next stop: the Texas House, where Rep. @ManoForStateRep is carrying HB 5177. #txlege @TPPF @txtaxpayers @HPOUTX @HRBC1 @BillKingHouston Read more now ⬇️
