Special Crime Session has been very emotional and heartfelt. I am honored to be a part of this process and working towards legislative solutions to address rampant crime in Livingston Parish & the State of Louisiana.
I am proud supporter of our 2nd Amendment Rights. I am proud to coauthor of SB1 & HB12 Constitutional Carry. I also support SB2 which limits liability for Constitutional Carry reduces risk of being sued. I have always supported our 2nd Amendment Rights.
My bill adding voter fraud and forgery to the criminal code has PASSED THE SENATE! It will be scheduled in the House for committee soon.
This "Independence Day" we rejoice in the liberty of "Constitutional Carry" here in Livingston Parish and throughout Louisiana. Please adhere to the laws in place and carry responsibly.
Carjackings have skyrocketed!!!! They are violent and traumatic and must be deterred.
We have watched for years as Louisiana cities have climbed the ranks in the nation's most dangerous places to live. It is way past time we stepped in and addressed the crime rates in our state. I am confident the the laws we passed will slash our crime statistics and restore law.
Carjackings have skyrocketed! They are violent traumatic & must be deterred. I have authored & filed SB12 to increase the current minimum sentencing from 2 to 5 years. If the carjacking results in serious bodily injury minimums are increased with up to 30 years imprisonment.
