Today I sent a letter to the Governor, asking her to reopen golf courses in Michigan, as long as proper social distancing and health safety rules are followed --> https://t.co/osb3fd3YS8

Thanks to @DNBethLeBlanc and the @detroitnews for reporting on the proposed Supreme Court rule that would massively alter how background checks are done in Michigan, and my legislation that seeks to preserve DOB for background checks. https://t.co/R2rx5RzeKM https://t.co/KqEDM5EUYS

Love it @SBAM @nfib_mi - A huge thank you for highlighting HB 5368, which simply allows name and DOB can be used when completing background checks. Common sense legislation, protects the public safety, helps job applicants. https://t.co/7HToSxRS6K

I think youll enjoy the term limits discussion of these attack mailers that have been all over my district. If the purpose of the attack mailings was to make me fearful of speaking about the issue, those attacks failed. https://t.co/z8yrs0YHzy

If your business hires anyone & does background checks, this proposed rule will impact that process. The proposed rule will hamstring an employer from completing accurate background checks, leading to public safety issues, leading to confusion & uncertainty for job applicants.

Hoping that resolution can be reached that protects individuals personal info, & also allows employers to do proper background checks to protect the public safety. It<U+2019>s also a pro applicant bill - if MI job applicants cannot have timely checks, they may not get the job. https://t.co/YPPaCIZaEr

Proud to be a <U+201C>Guardian of Small Business<U+201D> w/ @nfib_mi. I worked to protect the right of businesses to do basic background checks (HB 5368). Sounds mundane, but a proposed Supreme Court rule threatened to gut the background check process in MI. https://t.co/zvWDKuESGg https://t.co/Og3ZasVHKD
