Theres still 28,000 Native Hawaiians on the Waitlist with only about 10,000 placed on the land over the past 100 years. DHHL and the Legislature have got to get serious about honoring the HHCA or get dragged into court. Hats off to Leona Kalima and her class action suit.
Kudos to our former colleague in the State House and now Mayor of Kauai - Derek Kawakami who has mandated the wearing of masks to protect the people of Kauai. This should be a state-wide mandate with mass testing and contact-tracing if were serious about re-opening our economy.
